Authentic Vietnamese Street Food
Our Menus
Every dish at Pho & Roll is authentic Vietnamese street food, made from recipes passed down through generations. From slow-simmered phở and made-to-order bánh mì to hand-rolled summer rolls, everything is prepared fresh each day with natural flavours, no MSG and no shortcuts: the honest, home-style cooking of Vietnam.
Two homes, two menus
Our two Edinburgh restaurants share the same heart, but each has a few dishes of its own. Here is how the menus differ.
A few extra signature dishes
Our original home beside the Water of Leith keeps a handful of extra signature dishes of its own:
- Ocean Trio, a South Vietnamese seafood broth with prawns, crispy fish and fragrant herbs.
- Pakse Pan, sautéed vegetables in a soy-oyster reduction with phở noodles and peanuts.
- Salmon Bowl, grilled salmon on wok-tossed vegetables with jasmine rice and kimchi.
- Phở Tastic for Two, a generous sharing feast of sides and dips, finished with a surprise dessert.
We’re now BYOB. Bring your own drinks for a small corkage fee: £2 per bottle or can of beer, and £5 per 75cl bottle of wine.
Fully licensed, with a couple of exclusives
Our Old Town restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment and will reopen in mid-November. When we reopen it will be fully licensed, so alongside the food there is a full bar: house cocktails such as a Vietnamese Espresso Martini, freshly-tapped Pilot beer brewed in Leith, and a short, well-chosen wine list.
The Jeffrey Street menu also has two small plates you will not find in Stockbridge:
- Hanoi’s Pancake, golden sweet-potato pancakes served with kimchi.
- Pearl on Spoon, grilled scallops with a caramelised soy reduction and wasabi cream.
Pho & Roll serves authentic Vietnamese street food in Edinburgh, in Stockbridge and the Old Town, made from traditional recipes passed down through generations: phở, bánh mì, summer rolls, vermicelli bowls and more, with vegetarian and vegan options throughout.
